Goblin Combe – Bluebell Walk
Leader: Barbara H (01934 624138/07934 197780). Meet: 10:30am Goblin Combe CP GR: ST 455 655
Route: A370 to Cleeve, turn into Cleeve Hill Road next to the disused Lord Nelson and continue to CP on the left.  Grade: Moderate. Picnic.
Saturday 4th May   8.2 milesCorfe  -  Pitminster  -  Staple Park Wood.                                                                 Satnav: TA3 7BU**
 Leader: Allan R (078 339 21 334) Meet: 10.30am The White Hart Inn CP, Corfe  GR:ST 232 194  
 Route: M5 exit Junction 25 and follow A38 towards Taunton. At first traffic lights turn left, SP Corfe, and follow B3170 to Corfe. In village turn right at White Hart Inn and then left into pub car park (with permission). On return follow SP’s to M5. Grade: Woods, fields, lanes, hills. Moderate, picnic.

St Audrie’s Bay, Waterfalls & English Coastal Path.                                                Satnav: TA4 4DP**
Leader: Pat M-H (01278 792419/07902 210705). Meet: 10:30am Home Farm Holiday Centre (£2.00 all day parking). GR: ST 105 430 Route: from Bridgwater, A39 in Minehead direction. Once past the Windmill Inn in St Audries take the right turning after the Murco garage, signed Doniford. After approx half mile turn right into Holiday Centre for parking / toilets at the end of a very long drive. Grade: Moderate undulating in parts with 3 short ups. Picnic.

Cothelstone Recce. West Bagborough.                                                                   Satnav : TA4 3DX **
Leader: Barbara H (01934 624138/07934 197780). Meet: 10:30am Cothelstone Hill CP. GR: ST 200 328. Route:  M5 J24, (A39) towards Minehead (3rd exit) But at next roundabout take A38(S) Taunton (1st exit). After 0.7 mile turn right into Old Road (Nth Petherton) and follow for about 5.5 miles turn left at T Jcn (signed Bishops Lydeard) stay on this road (1mile) to the car park on the left. Grade: Mostly moderate but one long steady climb and a short steep one. Picnic.
Wednesday  15th May 7½ milesSt Tewdric’s Church – Wales Coast Path – Black Rock - St Pierre.                    Satnav: NP16 5RP **
Leader: Ken (01278 793453/07770721954). Meet: 10.30am on Maple Avenue. GR: ST 532 920 Route: M5 to cross M48 Severn Bridge. Exit jnc 2 to Chepstow A466.  At roundabout take the 4th exit onto Fair View. Continue onto T junction and turn right and left into Maple Avenue. Pass 8 left hand turns and then pass the no-through-road sign. Park along this stretch. (The A466 runs parallel with this road). Grade: Easy.  A chance to see the burial site of St Tewdric who you met on the last walk.
Saturday 18th May 8  milesMonksilver – Roadwater – Woodford                                                                       Sat Nav:TA4 4JB**
Leader: Allan R (078 339 21 334) Meet: 10.30 am Monksilver Grid Ref: ST 072 373 Route:  A39 through Williton and after about 2 miles turn left onto B3190 at roundabout. After about 1 mile turn left onto B3188, SP Monksilver. Parking with permission at The Notley Inn CP (hopefully with a drink after walk).  Grade: Fields, lanes, hills and views. Moderate, picnic.

Cheddar - An Up and Down.                                                                                      Satnav: BS27 3NL**
Leader:  Jennie & Ian (01934811408/07761684923). Meet: 10:30am Penn Road Cheddar. GR: 461 531. Route: At the ancient Market Cross in Cheddar, turn left into Union Street then right into Redcliffe Street, Penn Road is the 2nd right. Please park sensitively.  Grade: Moderate with two long steep steady climbs, and one long steep descent. Usual gorgeous Mendip views. Picnic.

Rodney Stoke – Priddy.                                                                                              Satnav BS27 3UN**
Leader: Shirley K ( )Meet: 10am (note early start)  at the church in Stoke Lane, Rodney Stoke. GR: ST 482 499. Limited space so please car share. Route: Your usual route through Cheddar to the Wells Road A 371, through Draycott and shortly after passing The Rodney Stoke Inn , turn sharp right on the corner into Stoke Lane, signed Wedmore. Grade: UP to Priddy for a picnic lunch and returning on a different route.   
Wednesday  29th May 7.8 miles  Newport - Vale of Berkeley - Ham – Berkeley.                                                           Satnav: GL13 9PZ**
Leader: John H (01934 633139/07799307171).  Meet: 10:30am Chapel Hill Newport. GR: ST 698 974 Route:  M5 north to Jcn 14, turn L onto B4509. At T Jcn turn R onto A38 for 2.5 miles. TURN LEFT 50yds past sign to Lower Wick.  Park near houses along this lane. Grade: Moderate, One shortish climb, few ups & downs. Picnic. 
Saturday  1st June 7½ miles  Crook Peak – King’s Wood –Wavering Down.
Leader: Richard & Vivienne (01934 814314/07552031213). Meet: 10:00am NOTE the Time Winscombe CP behind Woodborough.  Grade: One long climb and a steep descent. May be muddy. Moderate/hard with one long steady climb and a short steep descent. Picnic.

GR: ST 245 388
Route: from Bridgwater, A39 in Minehead direction past Cemetery, over mini roundabout and in front of Greenslades turn left into Blackmore Lane, past The Malt Shovel to the farm shop on the left after RH bend. CP immediately on right.
Grade: moderate some ups & downs. Good views Picnic.

GR:  ST 530 678.
Route:  Option 1 – A370 towards Bristol, shortly after Flax Bourton, take slip road and turn right onto B3130.  Inn about 1 mile on RHS at end of Barrow Gurney.  Option 2 – A38 towards Bristol, 2.3 miles after airport, turn left at traffic lights signposted Barrow Gurney.  Inn on LHS just after bridge.
Grade:  Gentle hills, views.  Picnic.

Leader: John H (07799307171).  Meet: 10:30am Staple Plain CP W Quantoxhead GR: ST 116 410 Route: Take A39 towards Minehead. TURN LEFT immediately past Windmill Inn (West Quantoxhead) signed Bicknoller. At crossroads turn left signed Staple Plain( narrow lane and track to Car Park 1Km) Grade: It’s The Quantocks, but not quite as hard as my Hawkridge Walk. Picnic.

Leader:Pat M-H (01278 792419/ 07902 210705). Meet: 5 pm.The Star Inn CP GR: ST 439 584 Route: usual one through Winscombe left onto A38 for Approx 1 mile to Inn on left.  Grade: Moderate, couple of ups & downs.

Saturday 22nd June   7.6  MilesCrowcombe Park Gate – Rams Combe – Crowcombe
 You are invited to join Allan R (078 339 21 334) on his first time round a walk led by Mike T. in 1997 (thanks again Mike). Meet: 10.30am Crowcombe Park Gate CP GR:ST 149 373 Route: : A39 from Bridgwater take 2nd turning into Nether Stowey at traffic lights, then immediately right onto Mill Lane. Follow SP’s for Crowcombe. Continue straight to CP at the end of the road.
Wednesday 26th June 7.3 miles    Watchet  -  Minehead  -  Watchet                    
Leader: Allan R (078 339 21 334) Meet: Watchet railway station in time to catch the 11:00 am train to Minehead. (GR: ST 071 432) Ticket cost £10.70 (We will then walk back to Watchet on the Coastal Path) Route:  A39 from Minehead, After the Windmill Inn turn right SP Donniford. After about 3 miles and when you reach Watchet residential area, turn right just before a left hand bend (entrance not easy to see) after Kingsland road, SP Helwell Bay. Continue over narrow bridge to free CP (Sat Nav: TA23 0DE). Railway station 0.5 mile walk along road just turned off. Other CP’s are available at a cost of £4-£5 per day. Grade: Easy, picnic. ( Harbour Rd CP: TA23 OAQ : Station TA23 0AU )
Saturday 29th June   8 milesCadbury Castle – Corton Denham – Whitcombe.                                             Satnav BA22 7EX
Leader Ken (01278 793453/07770721954)   Meet: 10.30 am Cadbury Castle car park GR: ST 632 252. Route: Make your way to Shepton Mallet, and onto Castle Cary (A371). Take the A359 (signed Yeovil) and follow signs into South Cadbury.  The car park is on the left hand side just past the Canelot Inn. Grade: Moderate but with three climbs.  Spectacular views.  Picnic.
