Leader: Allan R (078 339 21 334) Meet: 10.30am centre of West Harptree GR:ST 562 569 Route: Usual route to
Churchill, take A368 to West Harptree. In centre of village turn left, street park as close as possible to churchyard
wall. Grade: Hills, lanes, fields and views. Moderate, picnic.

|West Pennard – Parbrook – West Bradley. Satnav: BA6 8NL |
Leader: John H (01934 633139/ 07799307171). Meet: 10:30am West Pennard Village Hall CP (50p donation per
person please) park at back of the hall. GR: ST 548 381 Route: From Glastonbury take A361 towards Shepton Mallet. Turn right into Newtown Lane (West Pennard) 200 metres after the 30mph limit sign ( SP to village hall, church and school) Village Hall is 400 metres along lane on right (signposted).
Grade: Moderate, one steepish hill at the start, maybe mud in places. Picnic.

Meet: 10.30am at the church in Weare GR:ST 414 527 Route: Take A370 to East Brent then A38 turn right at Lower
Weare. In Weare park as close as possible to church. (Led by Mike T. in 1998)
Grade: Lanes and fields. Moderate, picnic.

|A short walk, the AGM and Lunch at the Woodborough Inn, Winscombe. Satnav: BS25 1HD
Leader: Shirley K. (01934 842359). Please park sensitively in Winscombe. Meet: 10:30am Near toilets by the entrance to the Strawberry Line. GR: ST 419 575. There is a car park behind the Woodborough. Route: A371 through Banwell to Winscombe, turn left into Sandford road, Woodborough is on right. Grade: Easy. Vivienne needs to know numbers by 9th Jan.

Leader: Allan R (078 339 21 334) Meet: 10.30am Plough Inn, Wrington GR:ST 470 629 Route: M5 J21 take A370 through Congresbury. At outskirts of town turn right SP Wrington. Park with permission at back of CP of Plough Inn in Wrington. Grade: Hills, lanes, woods and fields. Moderate, picnic.

Leader: John H. (01934 633139/07799 307171) Meet: 10:30am Hawkridge Reservoir CP GR: ST 206 360. Route: From Bridgwater take A39 towards Minehead. Shortly after leaving Bridgwater at top of rise turn left onto Skimmerton Lane, SP Durleigh. Turn right at T junction and follow road for 4.5 mile to CP on edge of reservoir. On return Skimmerton Lane is 200 yds after large red brick house on LHS. Grade: Moderate. Picnic.

|Wednesday 30th January 8 miles||Chepstow – Wintour’s Leap – Tidenham – Woodcroft. Satnav : NP16 5LR
Leader: Ken (01278 793453/07770721954). Meet 10.30 Chepstow Leisure centre car park (far side). GR: ST 529 943. Route: M5 to cross M48 Se4vern Bridge. Exit jnc. 2 to Chepstow A466. At 2nd roundabout turn right into Welsh Street (B4293) to Chepstow. The Leisure Centre is on your left (¼ mile). Grade: Moderate with a few climbs. Interesting footpaths and spectacular views. Picnic. Remember there are no tolls on the bridge.

You are invited to join Allan R (078 339 21 334) on a recce. Meet: 10.30am The Babbling Brook Inn CP, Shurton Please park at back of inn, in far corner, (with permission). GR: 202 443 Route: A39 Minehead road from Bridgwater. Go through Cannington and turn right on The Rodway at roundabout take 2nd exit following Hinkley point road for 5 miles. At sign for Shurton, turn left. Inn on right after approx 0.6 miles. Grade: Lanes and fields. Moderate, picnic.

Leader: Allan R (078 339 21 334) Meet: 10.30am Ubley War Memorial GR:ST 529 583 Route: Usual route to Churchill, take A368 to Ubley. In village turn left onto “The Street”. Park near the memorial at bottom of hill. Grade: One hill, lanes, fields and views. Moderate, picnic.

Head for sea front and turn right along the coast Road, Pass Walton House Hotel (Best Weston) and turn left into Bay Road (just before church on the right) Car Park is immediately on the left or park further down the road. Grade: Moderate, picnic

Leader: Irene T (01934 843030 / 07815007956). Meet: 10:30am Car Park behind Winscombe Community Centre. GR: ST 419 577. Route: Follow A371 through Banwell into Winscombe, turn left onto Sandford Road CP on left after 200yds. Grade: Easy/Moderate. Fields maybe wet underfoot.

Route: From Churchill take A368 turn right SP Burrington Combe B3134.
Grade : moderate, with an steady longish ascent to begin. Picnic.

|Wheddon Cross – Snowdrop Valley Satnav: TA24 7DR
Leader Ken (01278 793453/07770721954). Meet 10.30am Wheddon Cross CP GR: SS 922 390. Route: From Bridgwater take the A39 Minehead Rd down to Dunster. Turn left through Dunster A396 and just follow the road until you reach Wheddon Cross. Turn right at ‘Rest and Be Thankful Inn’ B3224 and the CP is on the right sign posted ‘Snowdrop Valley car park’ (50 miles from WsM allow 1½ hrs). Toilets available by Rest and Be Thankful Inn. Grade: Energetic walk with climbs out of valley but beautiful scenery and snowdrops galore. Picnic.

You are invited to join Barbara H ( 01934 624138/07934 197780). on a recce. Meet : 10.30 on Felton Common next to the church GR: ST 514 657. Route: A38 towards Bristol, pass the airport and turn right into West Lane and then quickly right to park next to the church. Grade: moderate, fields and lanes, could be muddy. Picnic lunch.
|Wednesday 27th February 7.4 miles||Long Ashton - Monarch’s Way - Yanley Satnav. BS 48 1UL
Leader: Pat M-H (01278 792419 / 07902 210705). Meet: 10:30am Coroner’s Court. GR: ST 519 695 Route: A370 towards Long Ashton, left after Jubilee Inn, left at T-junction, left at mini-roundabout for roadside parking in Old Weston Road. Grade: Moderate, some ups & downs including steps, taking in paths you may not have walked before. Good views. Picnic.
