Please see the table at the end of the Walk Calendar for dates available on the  next programme. 

PLEASE BE AWARE.  Satnav is given as a guide only and cannot be relied upon to take you to the meeting point, especially in a rural location.  The OS grid ref GR:  will  get you to within a 100 metre square.  Route directions in the programme should also get you to the meeting point.

Barbara (07934 197780) Start: 10.30am at Ladye Bay CP.   GR: 407 726.
Route: Pass Clevedon Pier on your left and continue to Walton St Mary. Turn left opposite Walton St Mary church, CP is on the left.
Grade: Moderate but with several climbs. Picnic

Chew Valley Lake - Knowle Hill - Chew Magna.     Satnav: BS40 8SZ           ///evoke.shift.ruin
Leader: Gordon ( 01934 520547)    Start: 11.30 am Chew Valley Lake CP(£2.20)  GR: 572 614.  
Route: A 368 through Blagdon and first left on B3114 after Compton Martin.  Right in Chew Stoke (signed to Lake) and find car park on right after 1 mile.
Grade: Easy, with two short ascents.  Kissing and Bristol gates only!  Picnic.

Leader: Tony L (07891 218373).  Start: 10:30 Ubley Warren nature reserve CP GR: 505 556.
Route: From Weston proceed to Burrington Combe go straight up on B3134 turning right after about 2 miles. After about half a mile or so at Charterhouse Environmental centre turn left and park at the bottom of lane.
Grade: Moderate a new walk devised by the Yeo Valley Company with good views on a fine day, muddy after rain. Picnic. No Dogs.

Sidcot - Shipham - Rowberrow - Star - Wintehead.      Satnav: BS251LX.  ///racetrack.stunner.roving.  
Leader: Colin& Barbara (07899 062 868) Start: 10.30am The Barn, Oakridge Lane GR: ST 429 573 {parking is available). Or park behind the Woodborough Inn GR: 421 576  and walk up through Hillyfields (20 minutes)
Usual route to Winscombe, through village to A38, cross A38 at traffic lights and go up Fountain Lane, turn R. at top into Oakridge Lane. The Barn is 200yards on your right.  Parking may be limited so please lift share if possible.     
Grade: gentle stroll around Winscombe and Shipham. No Picnic, but back to The Barn for hot soup afterwards. Please inform leaders’ by Tuesday 7th if you are planning to come.

Towerhouse Wood - Cadbury Camp Lane - Clapton in Gordano.   Satnav: BS48 1JP   ///lions.repay.riots
Leader: Barbara (07934 197780) Start: 10.30am Nailsea/Wraxall lay-by. GR 486 715
Route: A370 to Backwell crossroads, left into Station Road. Follow the road to the end then turn right towards Wraxall. Soon after the Wraxall sign look for the lay-by on your left, there is also a lay-by on the opposite side of the road.
Grade: Moderate with hills. Picnic.

Table updated 2nd December 2021 Please submit full details by 16th DECEMBER 2021. For each date there can be an alternative, either longer or shorter, to the walk shown.  For example there could be a 12 mile and a 4 mile  or an 8 mile and a 4 mile walk. There is no reason why these walks cannot start at different times from the same or different locations. It is hoped this will help to cater for walkers with diverse abilities. Another column has been added to indicate the approximate distance of the planned walk. The longer or shorter walk could also be on a different day.
