Route: From Weston A370 to Congresbury lights follow A370 to next lights turn left past Cadbury garden centre and Henley lane is about 500 yards on right signed Cadbury hill.
Grade: Easy with one ascent near start. Picnic Lunch No dogs. Muddy if wet.

SHORT WALK 11am start

Leaders: Sylvia W(07770 266546), Kay(07432 552228),  Sally, Start: 11.00 am Burrington Village Square. GR: ST 479 593.
Route: Weston, thru’ Banwell, to Churchill traffic lights. Continue on A368. Ignoring the right turn to Burrington Combe (B3134), take the next right turn into Fry’s Lane. Grade: Easy with one steady ascent at the beginning which can be avoided if necessary. A shorter, slower and pretty walk with plenty of view points. Lunch and several drink stops. Picnic. Refreshments at the end. Please notify one of the Leaders if coming.

A ‘Hippy’ Walk around Glastonbury             Satnav BA6 8DB       ///prominent.hobbies.touches

Ken 01278793453/07770721954. Start: 10.30am Rural Life Museum CP (£3.00). GR: ST503 385. (If you can park on the road of course it’s free).
Route: A371 to Wells and right onto A39 to Glastonbury or M5 south to Jnc. 23 and left on A39 to Glastonbury. Once in Glastonbury follow the A361 to Bere Lane. The Museum is on the right hand side just before the end of the road.
Grade: Although we go up the Tor and there is a steady climb towards the end, the walk is otherwise Easy. Picnic

Redbrook- Offa's Dyke path-Kymin-High Meadow Woods.   Satnav: NP25 4AL    ///update.scanty.turkeys
Phillip (0789 072 4323 / 01934 708840) Start: 10.30 am at Redbrook Main Car Park, on A466 at Redbook Bridge, Monmouth. GR: SO 536 099 Route: Head north on M5 towards Bristol to the M4. Take the M4 west to South Wales/Chepstow/M48. Take the M48 and follow signs to Chepstow. At junction 2 take A466 exit, Chepstow. Remain on A466 until  Redbrook. The main Carpark is on the left just after the Redbrook Primary School on the right. Parking costs £2.00 (over 4 hrs). Take cash and card just in case. 
Grade: MODERATE.  Going north for the walk rather than south along the river. Picnic lunch.

Felton - Barrow Gurney – Potters Hill.                  Satnav:  BS40 9UP           ///icon.shunts.cycle
John H (01934 633139 / 07799 307171).  Start: 10:30am Near St Katherine’s church Felton.   GR: ST 514 656.
Route: From WSM take A370 through Congresbury and Cleeve. After 1.5 miles turn right (Brockley Combe) to A38, turn left then next right(signed Felton) over cattle grid then turn right (75yds) onto track past church to parking on right.  
Grade: Moderate, undulating. Picnic.

Leader: Brigitte R (01278 685089/07544 574457) Start: 10:30am at Youth Hostel CP Ivy Thorn Hill  GR: ST 481 346
Route: Follow A39 towards Glastonbury, turn right at Pipers Inn after passing through Ashcott. CP on left after approx 2.5 miles.  Grade: Easy/moderate. Picnic.
18th AUGUST   7.5 miles

West Bagborough, Lydeard Hill, Cothelstone hill.  Satnav: TA4 3EF         ///jokes.slice.lamppost
Sylvia (07770 266546). Start time: 10.00am Rising Sun, West Bagborough (note early start). GR: 171 334.
Route: M5 to junction 23, thru’ Bridgwater, passing Morrison’s, and turn left at the next traffic lights signed Durleigh. Thru’ Durleigh and take left turn signed Enmore. Thru’ Enmore, and continue to right turn signed West Bagborough (by Park End Lodge). Follow the signs to West Bagborough. Street parking near the pub so suggest car share.
Grade: Moderate: undulating with a climb to start. Wonderful views. Picnic. Liquid refreshments at the pub to finish.

Start: 10.30am Failand Church. GR: ST 515 735.  Route: M5 to J20 Clevedon. 3rd exit from roundabout then right on B3130 towards Tickenham/Nailsea. Just past the Star Inn fork left B3128 (Noahs Ark) and soon after the Failand Arms turn left into Oxhouse Lane. Church is at the bottom.            Grade: Moderate. Picnic.

Wells – Dinder – Croscombe – Dulcote.           Satnav : BA5 2LT              ///tiny.bought.ratio
Leader: Ken (01278 793453/07770721954) Start: 10.30 am Ash Lane (nr Kennion Road) Wells. GR: ST 544 463.
Route: Travel to Wells on A371. At second traffic lights turn left into Wookey Hole Road and take the right hand fork Kennion Road. At the T junction (Ash Lane) turn right and park near the footpath which is approx. 200yards on the right.
Grade: Moderate but one long climb. A mix of woods, fields, country lanes and old railway track. Picnic.
 (Free Toilets available in 20mins). This is a variant to the walk done in June.
