PLEASE BE AWARE.  Sat Nav is given as a guide only and cannot be relied upon to take you to the meeting point, especially in a rural location.  The OS grid ref GR:  will  get you to within a 100 metre square.  Route directions in the programme should also get you to the meeting point.  Note change of route due to road closure affecting Wednesday 27th March walk.
2nd March

Shurton                                                                                                                       Sat Nav: TA5 1QE
You are invited to join Allan R (078 339 21 334) on a recce.     Meet: 10.30am  The Babbling Brook CP, Shurton. Please park at back of inn, in far corner, (with permission).   GR:ST 202 443 
Route: A39 Minehead road from Bridgwater. Go through Cannington and turn right on The Rodway, following Hinkley point road for 5 miles. At sign for Shurton, turn left.  Inn on right after approx 0.6 miles. 
Grade: Lanes and fields. Moderate, picnic.

Offa’s Dyke – Brockweir – Circle of Legends  - Tintern Abbey – Devil’s Pulpit             Satnav: NP16 7JR  
Leader Ken (01278 793453/07770721954).
Meet 10.30am ‘The Park’ car park. GR: ST 558 992.
Route: M5 to cross M48 Severn Bridge. Exit jnc.2 to Chepstow A466. At roundabout turn right onto A48 drive through Chepstow. Turn left onto B4228 (signed St. Briavels). Turn right at double mini roundabout staying on the B4228, (signed Coleford). The car park is approx. 3 miles on LH side signed ‘Offa’s Dyke’.
Grade: Relatively easy but with one long steep climb towards the end. Superb views Picnic. A walk full of interest with Moravian Chapel, King Offa, King Arthur, King Tewdrig, Sabrina who gave the river its name, Queen Eleanor and Geoffrey of Monmouth.

Stockhill Wood – Ebbor Gorge                                                                                        Sat Nav: BA5 3AS
 You are invited to join Allan R (078 339 21 334) on a recce Meet: 10.30am  in car park at Stockhill Wood   GR:ST 549 514   Route:.  Usual route to Churchill, take A368 towards Rickford. After 2 mile turn right (SP Burrington) onto B3134. Continue for 6.7 miles and keep straight at junction with B3135. CP on left after half a mile.
Grade: Lanes and fields, some hills. Moderate, picnic. PLEASE NOTE! The road between SANDFORD and CHURCHILL will be closed from 8 am Saturday until 8 pm Sunday for drainage work. Take Banwell to Winscombe (A371) then A38 to Churchill. Allow extra time for your journey.

Hawkridge Reservoir – Plainsfield – Spaxton.                                                                 Satnav: TA5 1BD   
Leader: Pat M-H (01278 792419/ 07902 210705).
Meet: 10:30am Lawyer’s Hill by reservoir. GR: ST 206 360.  
Route: from Bridgwater thru’ Durleigh & Spaxton for approx 5 miles to parking area on right.
Grade: Moderate, a few stiles, some short ups & downs. Picnic.  
16th March

Chew Magna - Pensford
Leader: Allan R (078 339 21 334)
Meet: 10.30am King George V Playing Fields CP, Chew Magna. GR: ST 579 634.
Route: Your usual route to Churchill, then take A638 towards Bath. At West Harptree turn left onto B3114 and follow SP’s to Chew Magna. Turn right onto B3130, through village and turn left at 20mph sign into Norton Lane. With permission park in CP about 400yds on RHS. Wednesday walkers may have done this walk.
Grade: Fields & lanes, rolling hills, moderate. Picnic.

Upper Weare – Stone Allerton – Ashton                                                                     Satnav BS26 2LA

Meet: 10.30am  at the church in Upper Weare GR:ST 414 527
Route: Take A370 to East Brent then left onto A38. Turn right at Lower Weare and turn left opposite school on right. Continue and park as close as possible to church. (Led by Mike T. in 1998). Saturday walkers may have done this walk.
Grade: Lanes and fields. Moderate, picnic.

Evercreech – Stoney Stratton – Lamyatt.             ROUTE CHANGE DUE TO ROAD CLOSURE !                  Satnav  BA4 6EH
The original route along A368 onto B3134 is closed from 25th Mar - 3rd May for road works.
Leader: John H (01934 633139 / 07799 307171). 
Meet: 10:30am Neales Way Car Park  GR: ST 648 391
Route: Take A371 to Wells turn R at PORTWAY JCN, signed A371 Shepton Mallet. After 2.5 miles turn R signed Crematorium. After 1.2 miles turn R (SP Canards Grave/ Pilton). Stay on this road for 2.5 miles take hairpin bend to T JCN. Turn R to Cannards Grave roundabout take 3rd exit. Next roundabout take 1st exit signed Evercreech, after 1 mile fork left onto B3081 to Evercreech. After 30mph signs take 2nd turn left (NEALES WAY), CP on right before bend and school.
Grade: Moderate, approx 12 stiles, one longish climb, good views, some mud.

Winscombe - King's Wood - Winterhead                                                                       Satnav BS25 1HD
Leader: Gordon B. ( 01934 520547 ). Meet 10:30am Behind Woodborough Arms Winscombe. GR: ST 422 575.
Route: Your usual route to Winscombe.
Grade: moderate,  with some hills and mud. Picnic.

Cadbury Hill – Wrington Warren - Warren House– Goblin Combe                               Satnav: BS49 4JP
 Leader: Tony L (01934 834786/ 07891 218373).  Meet: 10:30am Henley Lane CP GR: ST437 652 Route: A370 to Congresbury turning left at 1st traffic lights and left again at the next set. Go past Cadbury Garden Centre and Doubletree Hilton Hotel then take next right, Henly Lane signed Cadbury Hill and Cricket club. Pass first CP on the right, go 100 metres and park in second CP on right. Grade: Moderate, good views. Picnic. No dogs Please.

Wrington – King’s Wood.                                                                                             Satnav: BS40 5QA                                              Leader: Allan R (078 339 21 334) Meet: 10.30am Plough Inn, Wrington  GR:ST 470 629 Route: M5 J21 take A370 through Congresbury. At outskirts of town turn right SP Wrington. Park with permission at back of CP of Plough Inn in Wrington. Saturday walkers may have done some of this walk. Grade: Hills, lanes, woods and fields. Moderate, picnic.

Clevedon – Coast and Woodland.                                                                         Satnav : BS21 7XR
Leader: Pat OC (01934 413979 / 07955394850).  Meet: 10:30am Old Church Road  GR: ST 399 710 Route: M5 Junction 20 Clevedon. Take usual route to sea front via Moor Lane, Great Western Road and Old Church Road. Park opposite Shell Garage on Old Church Road [just before junction with Elton Road]. Grade: Moderate. Pleasant walk with some great views. A few ups and downs. Picnic. Harp Inn available nearby for refreshments.
